Indian Rocks Beach 2019
Please enjoy some pictures from our 2019 trip to Indian Rocks Beach, Florida and a few notes on our vacation here.
Key takeaways
- Holding a baby who is wearing sunblock clothing will wipe off any sunscreen on your body no matter how much you apply to yourself
- Lulu’s is far superior to P.J.’s and is our new seafood spot
- My four year old son charmed a couple at the pool who are now friends, the baby loves the pool
- Make sure you have a long lighter to fire up the grass grill as the ignition switch is broke
- Honeymoon State Park had some nice hiking trails that would be fun to go on
- ZooTampa > Florida Aquarium in terms of revisiting
- Bonnethead sharks are common in the area at this time of year and the dark slow moving blogs are manatees so don’t freak out
- I love sunrises and sunsets on the beach, everything between then is OK
- Publix is nearby and EXPENSIVE but they do have plenty of ready to eat meals so you don’t have to worry about cooking
- Clearwater is kind of a dump outside the touristy area
- Pushing a stroller on the beach is NOT ADVISABLE and a TON OF WORK
- Flying the wife and kids home was ideal and we may fly both ways next year if we can trim down our luggage and get groceries delivered
- The Bass Pro Shops in Gainesville is solid in terms of getting saltwater fishing advice
- Zephyrhills bottled water is still the best bottled water around
- Stand up paddleboarding may not be as fun as it looks
