Merry Christmas!
Here is our 2020 Christmas card. There isn’t much to put into the picture celebration this year given that we didn’t go anywhere because of the pandemic. The top photo of my wife and I we took after a run through Eden Park so I am fairly tired in it (and look like a hippy). The next two were taken at the gun club. The bottom three within a month of each other.
We are very thankful though. We are all healthy and fully employed. Our children are safe. They do really miss their family this Christmas season, which is interesting in that I hated leaving the house during holidays as a kid and even more having people over. It usually meant a full day of cleaning and preparing for a day of putting up with my uncle’s bullshit while we stood around waiting for dinner, mostly which came out half cooked or burnt. My mom doesn’t read my blog so I can say these things.
It would be nice to see people again honestly. I enjoyed a training session at work last week where I talked to people on calls all day and that was actually nice. I think that was the most people I’ve interacted with in months. I don’t go to my gun club anymore for events although I am still a member. They are basically in the belief that COVID is a hoax and nobody is wearing masks, which I don’t get. Next year will hopefully be better. I expect the first quarter of 2021 to basically be the same as 2020, but as the inoculations get into the general public we will hopefully have some more normalcy.
Merry Christmas!
