Restaurant Food Showcase – July 2021

Here is a showcase of delicious meals I had out this month.

Z Cucina Di Spirito – If you’re ever in Dublin OH go here. The food at Z Cucina is great, the service is great, and the owner is super friendly. The restaurant’s atmosphere seems more upscale, and maybe not family friendly, but we felt more than welcome there with our two boys. There is food for the kids to order and enjoy (ours ate so much spaghetti one got sick LOL). The restaurant itself features made from scratch dishes. If you’ve never had fresh pasta you’re missing out. It is far superior to the boxed stuff. It’s not something that’s easy to find, but if it is on the menu I will order it regardless of what else is on there.

The lasagna I ordered was delicious. It came out piping hot in a cast iron skillet. It was a cheese and pasta masterpiece. I would order this again for sure.

Sake Bomb – This restaurant is so far up my list of Asian eateries it’s unreal. The food and service is amazing. The owner is a wonderful person. I love ramen, and Korean ramen is delicious. It is spicier than it’s Japanese cousin, and this restaurant has one of the best I can find. We actually eat here pretty often. If it was closer, I’d probably order it once a week.

If you go here, consider trying their sushi. I call it “party sushi”. It’s not the simpler, more refined cuisine you find at Japanese restaurants that tend to feature simple presentations. Sake Bomb’s got an attitude to it in a way. They use spicy mayo, crunch flakes, and lots of different ingredients. I love the stuff and have found every roll on the menu delicious.

Cincy Crab Seafood – Oh my gosh I’ve wanted seafood so bad and I couldn’t find any. We stopped in Cincy Crab to give it a try and I was impressed. It was an absolute feast. I’ve not had seafood like this cooked in oil and butter before. Typically it’s steamed and then seasoned. I prefer it the way Cincy Crab does it because there’s so much flavor to dip it in, but you need gloves because it can be a mess.

I chose the three meat trio so of course I had to go with crawdads. I chose shrimp and sausage to round out the selection. I’d like to try clams/mussels next time as well. Two people can easily share it.

Aladdin’s Eatery – I love this place because the food is so healthy and good. It’s also surprisingly affordable. I got the hummus, salad, and lamb wrap. It was delicious of course. Aladdin’s was a favorite of mine when I worked in West Chester. Whenever coworkers traveled into the area I’d always take them there and it was a favorite for them also.
