Monster Trucks, Movie Reviews, X-Box Game Pass

We attended the Monster Truck Glow Party at Northern Kentucky’s arena and the boys enjoyed themselves. B is really crazy about monster trucks so this was more for him. The concept here were monster trucks of course, but were designed clearly to be marked via Mattel’s Hot Wheels collection. Not a big deal, I buy those things for the boys. We did end up buying another monster truck there and at this point B’s monster truck collection has really improved.

I’ve added a movie review section to the blog here because for no other reason than I like movies and writing about them. We have so many streaming options here and I am struggling finding something to watch – call it analysis paralysis. So, I’ve been chunking together movies based on a very specific theme and trying to understand and relate to what the movie is saying in more depth. I’m adding them here because frankly I think it’s fun and I like to pretend I’m Roger Ebert, no other reason.

Finally I am playing games on the X-Box Game Pass and wow what a deal. If I was a teenager this service would be absolute heaven. For a fixed fee you get access to hundreds of games. I purchases this Series S for my sons because I was tired of them fighting over the switch. What surprised me about that was T started playing on his PC more, specifically Gary’s Mod, Minecraft, and now Team Fortress 2. He even prefers a keyboard to a controller, I’ve created a monster! So far I’ve played Rogue Squadron, Alien Isolation, and Guardians of the Galaxy. I’ve only played a couple hours of each because of time constraints but they are all fun games. I also like that I can download games onto my PC as well and play there. I’d much rather play shooting games with a mouse though, a controller cannot compete. Driving and sports games are better on a console in my opinion so I’ve been playing those there instead.
