Indian Rocks Beach 2019

Indian Rocks Beach 2019

Please enjoy some pictures from our 2019 trip to Indian Rocks Beach, Florida and a few notes on our vacation here.

Key takeaways

  1. Holding a baby who is wearing sunblock clothing will wipe off any sunscreen on your body no matter how much you apply to yourself
  2. Lulu’s is far superior to P.J.’s and is our new seafood spot
  3. My four year old son charmed a couple at the pool who are now friends, the baby loves the pool
  4. Make sure you have a long lighter to fire up the grass grill as the ignition switch is broke
  5. Honeymoon State Park had some nice hiking trails that would be fun to go on
  6. ZooTampa > Florida Aquarium in terms of revisiting
  7. Bonnethead sharks are common in the area at this time of year and the dark slow moving blogs are manatees so don’t freak out
  8. I love sunrises and sunsets on the beach, everything between then is OK
  9. Publix is nearby and EXPENSIVE but they do have plenty of ready to eat meals so you don’t have to worry about cooking
  10. Clearwater is kind of a dump outside the touristy area
  11. Pushing a stroller on the beach is NOT ADVISABLE and a TON OF WORK
  12. Flying the wife and kids home was ideal and we may fly both ways next year if we can trim down our luggage and get groceries delivered
  13. The Bass Pro Shops in Gainesville is solid in terms of getting saltwater fishing advice
  14. Zephyrhills bottled water is still the best bottled water around
  15. Stand up paddleboarding may not be as fun as it looks
