Happy Independence Day

It is a great to be a citizen of the United States of America. Cheers to another year USA.

We took it easy this week so not much to post. We are due for a string of busy weekends including trips to Columbus OH and coastal Georgia so I wanted to stay in and catch up. There’s much to do at home including getting ready for installing my storage bin in the back yard and getting the garage organized. It’s also a rare weekend without sports or Scouts activity so I want to take advantage of uninterrupted time to work on some projects. I would love to work on my garden although at this point I am thinking there’s not much for me to do, it is just too far gone. The deer really put a hurt on it again and I can’t keep up with them. I think the only thing that will save it going forward is an actual steel fence, something they cannot push their way through or jump over. Either that or I give up the garden altogether.

We won’t do much for fireworks this year. We have a Fourth of July event at Dutchman’s to attend so that will be our party for the year. There is a big show in Independence but I don’t think we want to fight the traffic to get there for it. This all sounds lame but there’s also nothing wrong with staying at home and enjoying time with your loved ones.
