Maharaja Indian Restaurant
Site | Order: Starter
No reservation needed.
El Cerro Grande
Site | Order: Starter – Tortilla Chips with Salsa and Guacamole | Meal – Carnitas with Pickled Jalapenos, Rice, Refried Beans, and Avocado Salad
No reservation needed. Our long time Mexican restaurant due to proximity to house. One of my favorite dishes that I always get. Service was slow but that’s the case everywhere it seems. Food did come out hot and was fresh. Children always happy eating here. Will be back again in a month or so.
The Eagle Food and Beer Hall
Site | Order: Starter – Hush Puppies | 1/2 Fried Chicken, Collards, Biscuits
Reservation recommended. Sit down and order. Cozy vibe. Bar with craft beer selection. Issues with bathroom. Service was good, although I think our waitress was trying to put out the faux hipster vibe. Food was incredible though. Hush puppies were fresh and came with a tangy dipping sauce. The brined fried chicken was hot and fresh and came with a hot honey pour over, which I happily obliged. Collards were very good. Table also ordered the chicken sandwich, macaroni and cheese, and grilled cheese. All good reviews from children. Would definitely come back again.
I Love Noods
Site | Order: Starter – Pork and Shrimp Shumai | Meal – Beef Tenderloin Pho
No reservation needed. Order at counter, pickup and sit down and eat. Absolutely delicious. Large, hearty soup. Fresh ingredients. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I also finished up a large portion of my son’s chicken ramen which was also incredible. I would definitely eat here again and it will be on our list for consideration anytime we visit Jungle Jim’s. Next time I will order a bubble tea to go. All good reviews from children.
Le Bar à Boeuf
Site | Order: Starter – French Onion Soup, Pommes Dauphine| Meal – Coq Au Vin, Ratatouille | Desert – Raspberry Tart
Reservation recommended. Served on carts, slow service, small servings. Definitely an “off night”, perhaps short staffed, as compared to reviews also given by other diners that night on Open Table. Definitely did not live up to expectations. I’m not sure we’d come back here. Pricewise incredibly reasonable I would add.
